Services For The Visually Impaired
The Huntington Public Library provides numerous services for the visually impaired.
The library is wheelchair accessible/ADA compliant at both locations. The Main and Station buildings have elevators to bring users to all levels. If you require assistance or special accommodations to attend a library program, please call us at 631-427-5165.
We have a wide ranging collection of large print books, audiobooks and eaudiobooks as well as a vision magnifier to read printed materials at the library. Materials by Mail services are also available for those individuals who are unable to come to the library.
Merlin Enhanced Vision Magnifier
The Merlin is a full-color, auto-focus video magnifier, enabling individuals with low vision to read, write, and view photos and other printed material at the library. Please come to the Reference Desk for assistance in using Merlin.

Eaudiobooks are available through Libby. For more information on using the Libby app, please call or speak to one of our Reference Librarians.
