Attention true crime lovers - join us for our monthly True Crime Club.
Each month will focus on a different true crime case with theories, suspects and coverage being discussed. Interviews and videos will also be used to analyze the details of the different cases. In November, we will be discussing serial killer Issei Sagawa.
Responsible for the murder, rape and cannibalization of Renée Hartevelt in Paris in 1981, Issei Sagawa, aka “the Kobe Cannibal” became a celebrity in Japan upon release from the mental facility he was placed in. Thanks to his family’s immense fortune, he was able to avoid serious prosecution for the crime, even though French and Japanese police had him dead to rights.
Registration is required. Open to all.
