Join us and learn how to create Chinese Brushwork Painting!
Artist Kathleen Deyo offers a demonstration to guide you in making marks with Chinese brushes and ink. Learn the history of Chinese Brushwork Painting, how it evolved into Sumi-e painting in Japan and see examples of important artists with examples of their work. Kathleen will demonstrate how to create bamboo, flowers, birds and fish using the brushwork technique and then participants will create an original piece of Chinese brushwork painting to bring home. Registration is required. HPL cardholders only.
The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
