A panel of students currently in training in the fields of social work, public health, and nursing will be available to provide blood pressure screenings, and to answer health-related questions.
A panel of students currently in training in the fields of social work, public health, and nursing, along with a faculty supervisor, will be available onsite at the Main Library to provide blood pressure screenings, and to answer health-related questions and provide reliable, evidence-based information on a wide variety of health topics such as heart disease, diabetes, understanding medications and much more. Students are also available to direct patrons to community resources, help fill out paperwork for social services, connect with housing resources and assist with finding a healthcare provider. These students will have an information table at the Main Library on Tuesday, September 12, Tuesday, September 26, Tuesday, October 24, and Tuesday, November 7 from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.
The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
