This program delves into the lucrative world of art crime, relating some of the fascinating stories of lost, stolen and forged art.

Author and forensic science teacher Linda Marie Frank will explain how art pieces are scientifically authenticated, including both scientific methods and the expertise of the art historian, and will go over the significance of an artwork's provenance. She will also cover the difference between fakes, forgeries and restored art and show examples and different cases of each. Registration is required. Open to all.

About the branch

The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
