In this exhibit, Dave Conford presents his collages and Kate Kelly shows her digital expressionism.
Collagist Dave Conford and multimedia artist Kate Kelly collaborate to bring us Paper, Paint, & Pixels. “The art of collage,” Dave states, “like the world it represents, tries to make a coherent whole out of the shattered pieces of civilization.” The pieces in his part of the show play with the possibilities inherent in stained glass in both its symbolic and its aesthetic uses.
Kelly has worked in various mediums and is most prolific in digital expressionism. Kelly’s hope is that her creations will arouse the senses and create an energizing delight in the viewer. Her work is both inspiring and entertaining.
