Please join us to discuss "In Which the Story Pauses a Little" from "Adam Bede" by George Eliot and "The Decay of Lying" by Oscar Wilde.
The library's Great Books Group, now in its eighteenth year, meets monthly to discuss works of both fiction and nonfiction, using the Shared Inquiry™ approach popularized by the Great Books Foundation. The readings are short, usually 25 pages or less in length, which makes them well-suited for our busy lifestyles. We are now using the anthology of Counterparts, in which the readings complement each other by highlighting different aspects of a given theme. We are making Counterparts available for free upon registration, thanks to a generous donation from friends and family of a former group member. For more information, email Tom Cohn at: tom_cohn@huntlib.org or call 631-427-5165x270. Check out our blog at hplgreatbooks.blogspot.com. Registration is required to receive Zoom sign-in by email. Open to all.
