Join us for a talk and book signing with author and gun shot victim Carl Denaro.
Carl Denaro was shot in the head on October 23, 1976 in an apparent random attack which was later attributed to David Berkowitz. Berkowitz says he didn't shoot him. Carl believes him. He has spent years researching the case, attempting to prove there were other shooters involved in the Son of Sam attacks. From the many police sketches that look like different people, details ignored by law enforcement, the varying time of attacks, and the inconsistent M.O. of the shooters, Carl uncovers the tip of a very deep iceberg. Autographed copies of his book The Son of Sam and Me: The Truth About Why I Wasn't Shot by David Berkowitz which includes never revealed correspondence between Denaro and Berkowitz will be available for purchase at the event. This event is brought to you by the LI Crime Expo. Registration is required. Open to all.
