Learn about the library's new cognitive care kits!

Join Lauren Vlachos, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center, as she shares practical advice on understanding dementia, spotting early signs, and effective communication strategies for caregivers. Lauren will also demonstrate the Huntington Public Library's new themed Cognitive Care Kits — high-quality puzzles, books, conversation cards, fidget tools, and art supplies designed to spark joy, reduce agitation, and create meaningful moments with loved ones. Registration is required. HPL cardholders only.

About the branch

The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
