Please join us to discuss "Human Personality," by Simone Weil

We invite you to share in an exploration of highly regarded classics of literature, history and philosophy through a discussion technique known as “Shared Inquiry.” Selections are from Great Conversations 5, available for purchase at the Main Library front desk at the reduced price of $10, thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Library.

"Human Personality," by Simone Weil

Weil was the daughter of a secular French-Jewish family. She supported left-wing causes during the tumultuous 1930's, and worked in various factories and farms in order to experience first hand the life experience of working-class people. In the years immediately preceding the start of the Second World War, Weil started to experience mystical revelations, which led her to embrace Christianity.
