Hosted by pop-up events company History Repeatn', this event will take you deep into the Roaring '20s, explore Long Island's pivotal role in Prohibition, and reveal how organized crime skyrocketed during the turbulent time. Presenter John N. Daniello's panel exhibit: Speakeasies & Shorelines: Prohibition on Long Island, is on display at the Main Library for the month of December.
The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
