In 1965, the politician and activist Martin Luther King Jr. led the historic march in a peaceful protest from the city of Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, considered one of the main and most important
causes of the equality movement of the civil rights of African-American citizens; which leads President Johnson to sign the law on the right to vote that same year. Directed by Ava DuVernay. Registration suggested.
The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
