Let "Our Hamptons" Podcast co-hosts Esperanza Leon and Irwin Levy transport you to Montauk, circa 1964!

 Leisuramas were fully furnished (down to the silverware and toothbrushes) Montauk beach houses marketed and sold at Macy's flagship store at Herald Square and in Roosevelt Field. In 1960's America, anything seemed possible, even going to Macy's to buy a shirt, and walking out with a beach house, and a piece of the American Dream. Many Leisuramas have been renovated beyond recognition, or replaced, but the bones are still evident. Presented by the Huntington area libraries.
