Traditional Yoga practice for the middle phase of life and beyond considers preserving our function and delaying or, when possible, preventing the onset of future suffering.
Join Yoga Therapist Danielle Tarantola for this workshop, the purpose of which is to promote bone and muscle strength, develop awareness so you’re more mindful of your movements, help connect to and strengthen your center of gravity, keep you steady and balanced and care for your back by encouraging better posture, so there's less pressure on the joints. This course will focus on hips, wrists, legs and spine, which are the bones prone to breakage, as well as reduce stress, which releases hormones that contribute to systemic deterioration. Please bring a yoga mat. Registration required. Open to all. Attendees should be able to get up and down off of the floor and be in general good health for this movement based class. There is a $30 non refundable fee for this series.
