Meet Fire Marshal Ryan Fischer and his K9 partner Chuck and learn about the science and legal aspects of fire investigations and the K9's role in them.

K9 Chuck is an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) trained and certified Accelerant Detection Canine(ACD) assigned to the Suffolk County Fire Marshal's Office. He and his partner, Fire Marshal Ryan Fischer, are currently the only ACD team in Suffolk County. They assist fire investigators across the county in conducting origin and cause investigations, as well as promote fire safety and prevent arson through public education. Registration is required. Open to all.

About the branch

The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
