Huntington Public Library presents Jose Trombone & Conjunto Rumbon!
Come celebrate the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the U.S. with José Trombone & Conjunto Rumbon, keepers of the iconic salsa gorda sound that emerged in New York City during the golden era of salsa. Jose Rivera is a long-time trombonist who started his music career with his family band in East New York. He became his father’s partner in composing their original music. Jose is currently the leader of Conjunto Rumbon and continues to arrange and integrate his original music into the performances!
The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
