Recently, artist Lisa Petker Mintz received a grant from the Huntington Arts Council to push her artwork in a new direction. 

For Lisa, making art is a daily practice that incorporates all aspects of her life.  Have you ever wondered what inspires abstract art? Or wondered why collage elements are incorporated into a painting? Come hear Lisa Petker Mintz discuss her work and how she incorporates fabric, architecture and the figure all in one Painting.  Petker Mintz most recently had a solo show in the heart of Chelsea at the Painting Center. Registration is required. Open to all.

About the branch

The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
