The Lunar Module that transported two Astronauts to the moon in July, 1969 was built right here at Grumman in Bethpage!

Long Island Joins The Space Race is an independent feature length documentary that tells of the engineers and the then primitive technology they used to create this most fantastic voyage. Filmmaker Glenn Andreiev, whose father was part of the Lunar Module team, uses rare archival footage as well as interviews with Apollo engineers to bring us along on the voyage to the Moon. Featuring a music score by Moontide. A discussion with the filmmaker will follow the screening. Registration is required. Open to all.
