Join us for a discussion of this year’s Long Island Reads Selection Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World by Christian Cooper. The Central Park birder at the center of a
racially-charged viral video reflects on his lifetime journey towards self-acceptance while offering insights into the wonderful world of birds and what they can teach us about life. Copies of the book will
be available to borrow at the Customer Services desk.

About the branch

The Main is located in the heart of Huntington Village, on the corner of Prospect Street and Main Street. The Main has a large auditorium and two smaller meeting rooms, one room for Children's programs and a conference room. There is also a Local History room located on the second floor and an Art Gallery located on the lower level.
