Proposed 2022-2023 Operating Budget
Proposed Huntington Public Library 2022-2023 Operating Budget
Proposed Huntington Public Library 2022-2023 Operating BudgetLibraries will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no libraries. —Anne Herbert

The past couple of years have presented many challenges to us in offering library service to our community; yet they have also given us the opportunity to shine as we continued to provide programs and services to our community in new and innovative ways!

Our biggest accomplishment this past year was the purchase of our Station Branch building in December! This is a very important milestone for the Library which sends a strong message to the community that the Library is here to stay! This will ensure library service for the future, while saving the taxpayers money from increasing rent payments.

After keeping the budget at a zero percent increase for two years, we are asking for a 1% increase this year so we can continue to provide our community with the programs and services you all deserve and have come to expect.

Trustee Candidate
Kimberly A. Hawkins' Candidate's Statement
Kimberly A. HawkinsFrom my prospective, the budget, continual use of modern technology and accessibility will be top issues facing the Huntington Public Library today. Having an educated and literate population in an outstanding township is one of main goals of the library.

As a prospective Trustee of the Huntington Public Library, I would be addressing these issues while assisting with the overall goals of the library, by creating an environment that will benefit the entire community at large. I would also support
the efforts of grants and other resources to offset any increases to the public.

(Kimberly Hawkins is running unopposed for reelection for a second five-year term)
